Asbestos was extensively used as a building material in the UK from the 1950s through to the mid-1980s. It was used for a variety of purposes and was ideal for fireproofing and insulation.
However, asbestos is no longer used since its fibres can kill!
Inhaling or swalling asbestos fibres can lead to Asbestosis, a serious long-term — and potentially life-threatening — lung condition.
We will remove ‘white’ asbestos soffits in accordance with the current legislation as set out in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 and transport and dispose of the waste in accordance with Hazardous Waste Regulations.
