Asbestos was extensively used as a building material in the UK from the 1950s through to the mid-1980s. It was used for a variety of purposes and was ideal for fireproofing and insulation.

However, asbestos is no longer used since its fibres can kill!

Inhaling or swalling asbestos fibres can lead to Asbestosis, a serious long-term — and potentially life-threatening — lung condition.

We will remove ‘white’ asbestos soffits in accordance with the current legislation as set out in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 and transport and dispose of the waste in accordance with Hazardous Waste Regulations.

Asbestos safely removed

  • All fitters are certified to remove and dispose of hazardous waste
  • Waste is removed and disposed of to the correct health and safety procedures
  • Fitters wear full PPE protective clothing and face masks
  • Waste will be double-wrapped in 500–1000 gauge polythene and duct tape
  • Annual certification is required
